Direct Alpine was formed in 1997 when longtime friends and avid climbers, Radek Nováček and Jirka Sikafrom started designing and testing their own line of technical apparel for the mountains. Taking the same direct, hardworking approach as with climbing, the two built a successful brand and product line focused on highly functional, breakthrough designs. Using the latest technologies, best materials and highest environmental standards, the brand quickly gained a following in the Czech Republic, followed by Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Korea. In 2018 the brand will debut in the U.S. market, after securing its own distribution and operations in Eagle, Colorado.
