Nature Friendly® and Nature Top Friendly® designations provide transparency into Direct Alpine’s manufacturing, sourcing and supply chain. All work is performed based on a deep respect and love for nature. The vast majority of Direct Alpine’s development and production is performed in developed countries, to the highest environmental standards in the world, including the European Union, Japan, South Korea and the USA. These nations not only have higher ecological standards, but also provide safer workplaces, better environmental protection and greater transparency. 

What we mean:

Nature Friendly® clothing is assembled from materials sourced from other developed countries outside of Europe, such as Japan, South Korea or the USA. These countries adhere to maximum environmental standards where all waste is liquidated ecologically and no harmful substances are introduced to the environment. The Nature Friendly® line is always produced in Europe, most often in the Czech Republic, adhering to some of the highest statutory environmental and workplace standards in the world.

Nature Top Friendly® clothing is exclusively manufactured and sourced in European countries. In practice this means during the production or dyeing of fabrics all waste is ecologically liquidated and waste water is treated (recycled?) when it comes out of the factory. Sourcing and manufacturing within European countries drastically minimizes the carbon footprint caused by shipping goods over long distances. Certain products in this collection are also manufactured from recycled material or can be recycled easily.
